During the school day under a modified schedule. Activities will occur indoors and outdoors rain or shine.

A semi-formal gathering will be offered for seniors to socialize and enjoy one another’s company. This ‘banquet’ or ‘garden party’ will occur outside under the colonnade and back parking lot and give a chance for seniors to be together and have a little fun. As is tradition, this event is reserved solely for the senior class.

The Alumni Association will host a special breakfast for seniors in the cafeteria. Seniors will hear from alumni speakers as well as get final instructions on graduation protocol. Seniors should be in school uniform.

Graduating students should arrive in cap and gown with appropriate dress clothes. Because of the capacity of the church, students are limited to six guests; others will be able to Livestream in real-time from their residence.

Graduates should have proper dress clothes beneath their gowns; this includes a collared shirt and tie for gentlemen and modest attire for ladies. Footwear should also be appropriate to the formal nature of the ceremony (dress shoes), but practical enough to be able to walk to the field and back (be careful of high heels). Also, caps and gowns are not able to be individually decorated so as to ensure a uniform ceremony.

Baccalaureate and Commencement are events governed and supported by the Andrean Administration and Diocese of Gary. The graduates and their guests are guests of Andrean. Accordingly, graduates and guests need to follow the directives of Andrean personnel while in attendance before, during, and after the ceremony. Balloons, noisemakers, signs, and other attempts at individual recognition are not allowed. All tuition accounts for graduating students must be paid in full in order to participate in the ceremony and to receive a diploma.

Our Commencement Ceremony will be held at Father Vincent Eckert Stadium (Football Field). Graduates should report to the Main Gym in cap and gown with appropriate dress clothes to line up and prepare for the walkover. Because of the increased seating capacity of the field, graduates are not limited to a specific number of guests and do not need tickets. If you require individualized handicap seating, an area will be designated for those individuals; please contact the Main Office to reserve this need. A virtual Livestream in real-time will also be provided for guests unable to attend the ceremony. Photography of graduates receiving their diplomas will be offered by Tom Ling of Classic Photo; further information from Mr. Ling will follow.
