Krol,Mrs

 Michelle Krol, Principal Asst.                                          mkrol@andreanhs.com

Mrs. Michelle Krol, after working for several years at a bank, then BP/Amoco in downtown Chicago, where her department designed and oversaw the construction of the ocean oil tankers, she then worked at Thrall Car, a railroad car manufacturer. In 1997 she decided to work closer to home at our Diocesan Pastoral Center, where she was for ten years. She then, in 2007, moved to the main office here at Andrean, where she has worked ever since. She enjoys (usually) the often hectic pace in the office, the wide variety of work involved, and most of all the people (both students and co-workers). Her daughter Jacklyn graduated from Andrean in 2011, and her husband Jack was ordained a deacon for the Diocese of Gary in 2003.

Counseling

Equihua,Miss

Ana Equihua, Counselor                            ext. 235                      aequihua@andreanhs.com

It has been a rewarding experience to enter my ninth year as a Counselor at my alma mater. I truly enjoy talking to students one on one because as I guide them during their high school journey, I also learn from them too. My hope is to be a living example of God’s love through my words and actions so that I can make a positive difference in their young lives. I strongly believe that at Andrean, we touch adolescents through a holistic approach by addressing their educational, psychosocial, and spiritual needs. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. My master’s degree is in social work (MSW), and I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Licensed School Social Worker (SSW).   My educational and professional background experience have given me the necessary tools to connect with students on topics ranging from academics, college and career planning, etc. all the way to confidential issues that they may encounter. I also facilitate an annual Grief Group for our students who have encountered a loss of a loved one.

“”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
